Any history?
The only reference I can find to this slogan on the interweb is at the engineering department of the University of Missouri, whose motto is "We study while you sleep"

Last year OBS (Organization for Black Students) put out a t-shirt that reads:
(front) - U of C
(back) - NOT UIC since 1892.
Hilarious.
