WHERE THE ODDS ARE GOOD BUT THE GOODS ARE ODD
Someone recently informed me of this one.. but my research has indicated that it is actually originally a slogan for the state of Alaska.
The place to collect all of the infamous slogans at the University of Chicago, their meaning and history... please help me compile this much needed database.

I think it is "UChicago Dating: where the odds are good but the goods are odd."
This has been used as an MIT saying for decades, and also known since the 1940s as a comment on the risk/reward to women of dating science fiction fans.
Oh...I came across this one before.
Apparently it was used by Wellesley girls to describe MIT folks...
Also used by CWRU
